The completion of the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center in the Philippine Cultural Enrichment Complex in Tampa is the work of a seamless, integrated fabric of talents that blended perfectly. It consisted of generous and focused people who have diligently and selflessly given their time and energies since the founding of the Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. (PCFI) in 1995.

To preserve and present the Philippine heritage and culture as our legacy to future generations and our contribution to the diversity of this region and the State of Florida.

Our Goals:

• Present high quality performances and exhibitions of Philippine traditional & contemporary artists, both professional and community based, national and international.

• Organize special events for the Filipino community that are open to the general public, county, and state wide.

• Provide cultural education, including language, folk arts, and good citizenship for children and adults, American-born Filipinos and individuals of various backgrounds who are interested in Filipino culture.

• Provide a facility for Florida artists and other cultural providers.

• Support the concerts, art festivals, educational events, and cultural activities of other ethnic groups and culturally undeserved communities.

• Expand the educational opportunities of the general Florida public about the language, culture and history of the Philippines.

• Provide a library of information about the Philippines, including guidance on travel to the islands.

The completion of the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center inside the Philippine Cultural Enrichment Complex in Tampa, Florida is the work of a seamless, integrated fabric of talents that blended perfectly. It consisted of generous and focused people who have diligently and selflessly given their time and energy since the founding of the Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. (PCFI) in 1995.

Built in 2001, the Center is a spectacular and an exceptional arts and events facility that offers a spacious 9,900 sq. ft. of carpeted and chandeliered convention, exhibit and event hall for the use of the organization and its members. With tastefully paved entrance, adorned with a majestic fountain and well-manicured garden, one comes in to a magnificently crystal-chandeliered lobby and a gracious library holding a vast collection of books, musical instruments and artifacts on Philippine culture.

In the lobby are meticulously hand-carved entrances to the Grand Sampaguita Ballroom, a significantly huge room decorated with capiz shell chandeliers and other lighting ornaments handcrafted from the Philippines. It also boosts a handmade bamboo bar, to take the Filipino design a little bit further, a 33'x33' dance floor. This hall has been the venue of the Organizations cultural shows, exhibits, charity balls and festivals.
