Below is an invitation by Friends Who Care, LLC president, Dr. Leo Yason:
It is truly a challenge and an opportunity for Friends Who Care, LLC to produce a benefit concert of this magnitude featuring a one of a kind Filipino artist, Marcelito Pomoy!
We are sincerely grateful that PCFI allowed us this chance to hold this fundraiser concert for a cause that has been dear to our hearts for many years, namely, the Hospital on Wheels founded by our classmate and US trained plastic surgeon, Dr. Jim Sanchez.
The HOW is a Volvo bus that has the interior retrofitted into 2 state of the art operating rooms for surgeries done under peripheral nerve block – meaning that the patient is awake throughout the procedure. This mobility enables the surgical team to access rural towns with numerous indigent patients who are deprived of proper healthcare services. It has proven cost effectiveness as it adverts the need for general anesthesia and a hospitalization.
FWC LLC is a totally voluntary 501(c)3 entity, with no employees and with bare minimal administrative fees. All monies are dedicated for patient expenses. The officers and board of directors all belong to UST Medicine Class of 1980, also nicknamed ARRIBA OCHENTA.
The talent of Mr. Pomoy and the humble dedication of Dr. Sanchez is a unique and powerful combination that will hopefully spur many of you into action, to ensure the success of this concert, to invite your family and friends, to watch Concert for a Cause on March 13, 2022 at the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center. Let US all show a SOLIDARITY & UNITY!
We are proud to be Filipino physicians , but we are merely the voices of the numerous patients who are waiting patiently to be cured and relieved of their chronic pain and suffering , physical as well as psychological.
We ask you ALL to join us as we uplift their lives ❣️
MARAMING SALAMAT PO!!!
