The first ARTE On-the-Spot Painting Competition held at the Sinagtala Theater of the Philippine Cultural Enrichment Complex on March 8, 2014 was a complete success after nine talented artists participated as the Philippine Performing Arts Company, Inc. members served as subjects for the competition.

The winners were Stephen Palladino (First Prize), John Brennan (Second Prize) and Lawrence Pumfrey (thirsd Prize). Judging the competition as Filipino-American artist John Paul Remo. During PhilFest 2014, all the entries were on exhibit at the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center where an Audience Pick prize was chosen. John Brennan was won this bonus award.

ARTE participants were Vanessa Montenegro, John Brennan, Cynthia Vera Fern, Rose Demille, Judy Pumfrey, Lawrence Pumfrey, Stephen Palladino, Frida Vazquez and Stephen Consuegra.

PCFI extends is thanks to all the contestants and to all the participants in this event and special thanks to Lucy Bautista, Emma Barrido and Angie Caculitan for soliciting for the prizes through the PhilFest 2014 Solicitations Committee.
