Closing Celebration for the 500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines
Join the Ang Bisaya of Florida (ABF) and Sto. Nino Shrine USA at the Closing Celebration for the 500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines in a special mass at St. Paul’s Catholic Church on Friday, April 22 at 7:00 PM.
St. Paul’s Catholic Church is located at 12708 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa FL 33618.
Catholicism came to the Philippines with the European discovery of the archipelago by the explorer Ferdinand Magellan in 1521 who planted the cross on the island of Cebu. Five century later, Christianity is still deeply engrained in the country’s culture and heritage.
