Dances of the Philippines Photos
Here are some photos from “Dances of the Philippines”, a gala presentation by the Philippine Performing Arts Company, Inc. on May 26, 2012 at the David Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa, Florida. Directed by the company’s artistic director, Joey Omila, the group performed ethnic and folk dances from the Philippines, reminiscent of the Philippine’s Bayanihan Dance Company’s artistic flavor.
Joining PPAC were Connie Chanrasmi, Vic Omila and Don Bronto, three of Tampa’s Filipino-American artists, who delivered solo numbers in between the dance sections. Live ethnic instrumental music was also provided by Aga, Kris and Ian Villagomeza (formerly known as AKi) and Nhick Ramiro Pacis.
