FBA Celebrates Maski-Pops 22nd Season Awarding
The Filipino Basketball Association of Tampa Bay (FBA) presents “Maski-Pops” (Maki-Pops Paano Basta 70’s & 80’s) 22nd Season Awarding Ceremony on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 6:00 PM at the Gulf Coast Church in Largo FL. This event will recognize the winners and teams during the summer league in a semi-formal dinner dance to raise funds for its basketball tournament where it will participate in the PIBNA (Philippine Interbasketball of Northern America) to be held in New York City in 2014. FBA will also be hosting the event in the Tampa Bay Area in 2015.
FBA, now a member organization of the Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc., boosts members that are currently playing professionally in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) and the Developmental League (D League) in the Philippines. FBA is currently composed of more than a hundred members and it continues to grow as it aims to develop good skills, discipline and positive attitude especially among its youth members. It also continues to hold two leagues every year (summer and winter leagues) with divisions for kids, open division, master and supermaster categories.
Admission to “Maski-Pops” is $35.00 per person, which include a full dinner catered by Food Thoughts Chef RJ, 70’s and 80’s music by the Gulf Coast Church’s DJ services and an all night of entertainment and dancing.
