PAAT Accepting Reynas and Sagalas at Santacruzan
The Pilipino-American Association of Tampa Bay (PAAT) is looking for participants in their upcoming annual “Barrio Fiesta” come Sunday, August 11, 2013 as “reynas” (Queens) and “sagalas”(muses) to be a part of the Filipino tradition of the grand “Santacruzan”to be held at the Bayanihan Arts Center in Tampa. Participants must wear a formal gown, and PAAT will provide a sash an arco (while supplies last). Santacruzan will begin at 4pm. Participants must check in the registration table in the lobby between 2:30 and 3:00 pm.

To be held at the bayanihan Arts and Events Center in Tampa, Florida, “Barrio Fiesta” is a smaller version of PCFI’s PhilFest but is equally enjoyable! There will be tons of Filipino food and merchandise as well as non-stop entertainment and games.
Highlight of the event will be Santacruzan where Fil-Am muses from the Tampa Bay area will be presented in a grand parade during the festival.
General admission to “Barrio Fiesta” is $5.00, children 5 and under, free.
