Philippine Ambassador Revisits Tampa
His Excellency Ambassador Jose Cuisia revisited the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center and met with Filipino-Americans in the Tampa Bay Area on Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Accompanied by Commercial Counselor Maria Roseni Alvero and Agriculture Attache Josyline Javelosa, the Ambassador reported positive updates on Philippine current events, especially regarding President Obama’s recent visit to the country where both countries agreed on a new 10-year defense pact. Other topics discussed included investment trends that might entice Filipino-Americans, cultural events and advantages of dual-citizenship.
The two-hour moment with Ambassador Cuisia was made possible through the leadership of Lari Cummings Ongoco who was recently elected new PCFI chairman for 20014-2016 and through the efforts of active PCFI members and PCFI member organizations.
Ambassador Cuisia’s last visit to the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center was in August, 2012.
