PPAC Off to England
Thirty one members of the Philippine Performing Arts Company (PPAC) of the Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. (PCFI) of Tampa, Florida will be off to England from August 5th to the 16th, 2015. PPAC will be performing at the 51st Billingham International Folklore Festival of World Dance in Billingham, England per the invitation of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts or also known as Conseil international des organisations de festivals de folklore et d’arts traditionnels (CIOFF) an international organization related to UNESCO for the safeguarding, promotion and diffusion of traditional culture and folklore.
The group will be headed by the Director and Choreographer of the company Joey Omila, a former member of the Bayanihan, Philippine National Dance Company and the current Director of Cultural Affairs of PCFI. They group will be performing with other groups from China, Chile, Argentina, Italy (Sicily), Mexico, Serbia, USA, and from the United Kingdom.
