PPAC Storms Cruise Convention
Miami Beach, Florida – The Philippine Performing Arts Company (PPAC), a cultural arm of the Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc., stormed the Annual International Cruise Convention in Miami with their breathtaking performance of “Singkil”.
The convention was held at the Miami Beach Convention Center last Monday, March 16, 2015. The group’s performance was per the joint invitation of the Philippine Department of Tourism, Ministry of Tourism of Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
Many of the delegates as well as exhibitors and sellers, were mesmerized by the performance of the group who’s music, an original composition of Nhick Pacis, echoed all over the convention center and its more than 20,000 attendees from the cruise industry from all over the world. PPAC was asked to do a second show to which PPAC presented dances from the Spanish era which was equally enjoyed by everybody. The company was chaperoned by their Director-Choreographer Joey Omila who was also the emcee and driver of the group.
