Rex Navarrete Live in Tampa, FL
Prepare to fall off your seats in laughter on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 7pm as the Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. brings you Rex Navarrete, the premier Filipino-American comedian, live at the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center in Tampa, Florida!
Much has happened since the young Navarrete, then 19-year old, first stood up on stage as a comic at the annual Asian Pacific Islander Student Union conference at UC Santa Cruz in 1989. He has now travelled most of North America including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Singapore, Australia and, of course, Philippines from which he draws much of his stand-up comedy inspiration. He remains to be the most notable Filipino-American comedian to date, performing alongside the likes of George Lopez, DL Hughley and Paul Mooney, Regine Velasquez and others. Navarrete grew up in Cavite and Batangas, Philippines but moved to the US when he was three. He graduated from San Francisco State University and received his master’s degree from the University of Clifornia, Berkeley.
