Sampaguita Ball 2022
The Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc.’s Sampaguita Ladies Society presents the 28th Sampaguita Ball on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 6:00 PM at the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center’s Grand Sampaguita Ballroom in Tampa, Florida.
Sub-themed as “Elegancia Filipina”, Sampaguita Ball 2022 will carry on the tradition of elegance and grandeur reminiscent of the previous balls, according to Mrs. Felilia Ticzon, Chairman of Sampaguita Ball 2022.
This event will also be overseen by the Chairman of the Sampaguita Ladies Society, Lissa Biglete, who succeeded Lucy Bautista’s supervision of more than ten years. PCFI’s Sampaguita Ladies Society include Marly Balderama, Emma Barrido, Dr. Terry Bissonnette, Dr. Judith Cimafranca, Betty Covarrubias, Lari Peterson, Bing Curioso, Vivian Dudgeon, Loida Espiritu, Liberty Galloway, Dr. Vicky Tagala, Esther Gianan, Clem Lazaro, Dr. Linda Pascual, Helen Piloneo, Edna Ramos, Dr. Rosie Tena, Felilia Ticzon, Kristina Biglete, Tita Ravi and Abigail Hamilton among others.
In preparation, cultural arms of the Foundation, namely Philippine Performing Arts Company, Inc., Philippine Choral Group and Musikong Kawayan Bamboo Ensemble, are already preparing for a special production number for the occasion. This production, entitled “Semmek”, is coordinated through the efforts of Joey Omila, Connie Chanrasmi and Nhick Ramiro Pacis.
The Rigodon de Honor, headed by the Sampaguita Ball chair, PCFI’s Executive Officers and Sampaguita Ladies, is now in the works as choreographed by Ren Candelario.
Like the past Sampaguita Balls, this year’s event is expecting guests to come from as far as Pensacola, Jacksonville, Melbourne, Miami, Orlando, Kissimme, West Palm Beach and others. Sampaguita Ball is a red-carpet fundraiser event by the Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. At $125/$150 per person, complimentary valet parking is included, along with all-night deluxe open bar service, a seven-course laureate dinner provided by Hao-Wah Catering, special production number by PCFI’s cultural arms, live-band music by Evelyn Rhythm-n-Motion Band, DJ Johnie for an all-night of dancing and Cena de Media Noche. Long evening gown or Terno/Filipiniana and black tie or Barong Tagalog are required attire. The ball is by reservations only on a first-paid basis.
