Sampaguita Ball 2025

Excitement is growing as preparations are underway for the 31st Annual Sampaguita Ball, one of the most anticipated cultural and social events of the year, hosted by the Sampaguita Ladies Society under the auspices of the Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. (PCFI). This year’s celebration, held under the elegant theme “Celebrating Filipino Elegance,” will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the luxurious Grand Sampaguita Ballroom of the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center.

This year’s Ball will be chaired by Jenette Sibayan-Cruz, PCFI Board Member and Assistant Secretary, whose vision ensures the continuation of a tradition defined by refinement and cultural pride. She is joined by Lissa Biglete, Chair of the Sampaguita Ladies Society and wife of PCFI Chairman of the Board, Arnell Biglete, serving as overall advisor. Lissa follows the long-standing stewardship of Lucy Bautista, who led the Society with grace for more than a decade.
The Sampaguita Ladies Society includes a distinguished roster of members whose tireless efforts over three decades have elevated the Sampaguita Ball into a signature event for the Foundation. Among them are Marly Balderama, Dr. Terry Bissonnette, Nenita Sweet, Linda Sanchez-Dowers, Lorelei Uy, Emma Barrido, Dr. Judith Cimafranca, Lari Peterson, Bing Curioso, Vivian Dudgeon, Loida Espiritu, Liberty Galloway, Dr. Vicky Tagala, Clem Lazaro, Dr. Linda Pascual, Helen Piloneo, Edna Ramos, Angie Caculitan, Dr. Rosie Tena, Felilia Ticzon, Kristina Biglete, Tita Ravi, Dr. Abby Hamilton, and many more.

Now in its 31st year, the Sampaguita Ball promises an evening of grandeur and cultural celebration. This reservations-only gala will welcome over 450 guests from across Florida and neighboring states. Highlights of the evening include: Complimentary Valet Parking, a sumptuous seven-course Lauriat dinner catered by Hao Wah Restaurant, an all-night deluxe open bar, live entertainment by Evelyn Rhythm in Motion Band, an original production by PCFI Cultural Director Nhick Ramiro Pacis, featuring performances by the Philippine Choral Group, under the direction of Connie Chanrasmi, Musikong Kawayan Bamboo Ensemble, conducted by Nhick Ramiro Pacis, and Philippine Performing Arts Company dancers, choreographed by Kamille Janess and Renato Candelario.
The evening will commence with the grand “Rigodon de Honor” — a traditional parade and dance of dignitaries — performed by members of the Sampaguita Ladies Society and choreographed by Renato Candelario.
Formal Attire Required
To preserve the sophistication of the occasion, attendees are expected to wear long evening gowns or Terno/Filipiniana gowns for ladies, and tuxedos or Barong Tagalog for gentlemen. This dress code will be strictly enforced.

Advertising and Sponsorship Opportunities
We are currently accepting full-color advertisements and personal greetings for inclusion in the official Sampaguita Ball souvenir program. Full-page ads are available for $160, and contributions are tax-deductible, as PCFI is a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit cultural organization. All proceeds will benefit PCFI’s cultural programming and the continued preservation of the Philippine Cultural Enrichment Complex and the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center.
