Sampaguita Ball 2014
The Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce the 21st Annual “Sampaguita Ball“, the biggest and most elegant Filipino-American charity ball in the Tampa Bay Area. “Sampaguita Ball 2014” will be held at the Grand Sampaguita Ballroom of the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 7:00 in the evening.
Priced at $125 per plate for front table seating and $100, “Sampaguita Ball 2014”, with the theme “Rhapsody in Blue”, comes with a complete entertainment package consisting of complimentary valet parking, cocktails starting at 6:00 PM, full course dinner catered by Hao Wah Restaurant, live music by Total Sounds, “Lahing Pilipino”, a special entertainment production number by PCFI’s resident performing groups and Cena Media Noche for a whole night of fun and dancing.
“Sampaguita Ball 2014” is co-chaired by the entire Sampaguita Ladies Committee lead by PCFI Board Member Lucy Bautista. The present Sampaguita Ladies Committee members include Pacita Abinales, MD, Marly Balderama, Lucy Bautista, Emma Barrido, Terry Bissonette, MD, Angelina Caculitan, Judy Cimafranca, MD, Betty Covarrubias, Bing Curioso, Vivian Dudgeon, Rose Dy, Loida Espiritu, Amy Estrada, Aurora Fortson, Dr. Evelyn Gador, Liberty Galloway, Esther Gianan, Anita Gonong, Carolina Lugay-Lacson, MD, Clem Lazaro, PCFI Chairman Lari Cummings-Ongoco, Erlinda Pascual, MD, Helen Piloneo, Edna Ramos, Vicky Tagala, MD and Rosie Tena, MD..
The special entertainment number, “Lahing Pilipino”, is especially produced for the evening’s event and will be performed by the Philippine Performing Arts Company, Inc. directed by Joey Omila, Philippine Choral Group conducted by Connie Chanrasmi and Musikong Kawayan Bamboo Ensemble directed by Nhick Ramiro Pacis.
“Sampaguita Ball” is a strictly formal event. Attire must be Long Evening Gown, Terno or Filipiniana for ladies, Black Tie or Barong Tagalog for the gentlemen.
Proceeds from “Sampaguita Ball” will be used for the maintenance and upkeep of the Philippine Cultural Enrichment Complex.
