Yugyugan 2014 at PhilFest
As a major event at PhilFest 2014, the Philippine Cultural Foundation is proud to present “Yugyugan 2014” Street Dancing Competition on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 2:30PM at the Philippine Cultural Enrichment Complex, also known as PhilFest Grounds.
Through the efforts of PCFI Board Member Bing Curioso, PCFI is now accepting applications from groups and associations. If your social organization is interested to join this fun event, please contact her at (813) 454-4060.
“Yugyugan” mimics the huge street dancing events in various towns and cities in the Philippines which are normally held during special festivals to honor patron saints, celebrate bountiful harvests or commemorate local pride in music, art and crafts. These are usually huge productions in full costumes and elaborate choreography as the townsfolk go about dancing in the streets.
Join us at “Yugyugan” and visit us during PhilFest from April 4-6, 2014. The Bayanihan Arts and Events Center and the Philippine Cultural Enrichment Complex are located at 14301 Nine Eagles Drive, Tampa, FL 33626.
