Yugyugan 2016

The Philippine Cultural Foundation is proud to present Yugyugan 2016 Street Dancing Competition on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 2:00PM at the Philippine Village, also known as PhilFest Grounds. Through the event chairmanship of PCFI Board Member Bing Curioso, PCFI is now accepting applications from groups and associations. Yugyugan 2016 mimics the huge street dancing events in various towns and cities in the Philippines which are normally held during special festivals to honor patron saints, celebrate bountiful harvests or commemorate local pride in music, art and crafts. These are usually huge productions numbers in full costumes and elaborate choreography as the townsfolk go about dancing in the streets.

At PhilFest, “Yugyugan” has become a big inter-association competition although any group, organization or association other than the PCFI member organizations are encouraged to participate. Much thanks to Lucy Bautista and the whole PhilFest Door Prizes and Solicitations committee for taking charge of the prizes at this event!

Join us at Yugyugan 2016 and visit us during PhilFest from April 1-3, 2016. PhilFest is now on its 21th year and continues to be celebrated at PCFI’s festival grounds. The Philippine Cultural Enrichment Complex is located at 14301 Nine Eagles Drive, Tampa, FL 33626.
