Philippine Cultural Exhibit 2022
The Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. presents Philippine Cultural Exhibit 2022 on Saturday, April 2, from 10AM to 5PM and on Sunday, April 3, from 10AM to 4PM at the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center during PhilFest 2022. The exhibit will feature artifacts, art works, Philippine musical instruments and wide variety of traditional and modern Philippine costumes.
Live entertainment will be provided by the Tallahassee Community College Dance Company and other performers.
Special spotlight acquisitions of PCFI include a collection of Mountain Province artifacts donated by Joselito Garcia from Dunedin, Florida. Gowns on exhibit are collections from different Filipino couturiers from the Philippines including designs by Edgar Madamba, Richard Papa and Edgar San Diego. Barong Tagalogs are from the collection of Joey Omila, PCFI Cultural Director. Traditional costumes are from the collections of the Philippine Performing Arts Company, Inc. and Musikong Kawayan Bamboo Ensemble. Additional costumes are provided by private collectors.
Musical instruments displayed are from the Musikong Kawayan Bamboo Ensemble and from the Philippine Performing Arts Company, Inc with some collected by PCFI.
Philippine Cultural Exhibit 2022 is a presentation of PCFI’s ARTE project prepared by Arnel Artus, Joey Omila and Nhick Ramiro Pacis.
Entrance to the Philippine Cultural Exhibit is included in the gate entrance ticket. PhilFest 2022 will be held from April 1-3 at the Philippine Cultural Enrichment Complex (Bayanihan Arts and Events Center and the PhilFest Grounds) located at 14301 Nine Eagles Drive, Tampa, FL 33626.
