Salsa! Dance Workshop and Social

The Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. (PCFI) is offering “Salsa!” Beginner Dance Workshop and Social on Sunday, September 2, 2018 starting at 3:00PM at the Grand Sampaguita Ballroom of the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center.

Featured in the workshop instructors are Filipino-American Dan McGraw and May Golez and Ireana Ugarte from Venezuela. Dan and Ireana teach Mambo Fridays at LVL UP Dance and Fitness at Florida Avenue in Tampa while May is associated with Tato Salsa and Philippine Performing Arts Company, Inc.

At PhilFest 2018, Dan, May and Ireana among others presented “PhilFest Goes Latin” which was a huge success at the festival. This resulted in a number of requests for at least one workshop at the BAEC. With Sampaguita Ball 2018 coming on September 29, 2018, this could not be a better opportunity to learn a few moves!

Donation to “Salsa!” is only $20 per person. The workshop will start at 3:00 PM followed by a social at 4:30 PM until 6 PM. Cash bar will be available during the event. A portion of the donation will benefit PCFI’s Music, Theater, Dance and Art Program which provides cultural activities for the Filipino-American community and the general public in the Tampa Bay Area.
