Summer Painting with Arnel Artus 2021
The Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. celebrates the heat of summer with Summer Painting with Arnel Artus 2021, a one-day acrylic painting lesson with Filipino-American Arnel Artus on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Bayanihan Art and Events Center in Tampa, Florida. This invitation is open to anyone who is interested in learning how to paint and at the same time have a wonderful time socializing with fellow enthusiasts.
There will be a participation fee of $30 for this event.
Arnel Artus was an art instructor at Michael’s Art and Craft Store under Grumbacher Paint. He is also a freelance portrait artist, muralist and landscape, still life and pet artist. He is also an illustrator of Dreams of Tealan children’s book and several murals at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Tampa, Florida. His latest masterpiece is the Jose Rizal Monument and Mural at the Philippine Village in Tampa, Florida, after accepting leadership at PCFI’s ARTE program. He has painted several murals is various churches in the Tampa Bay Area.
Summer Painting with Arnel Artus 2021 is part of PCFI’s ARTE project to offer art appreciation during each season of the year. Proceeds from this event will benefit PCFI’s cultural projects, most of which are in financial need due to a year’s worth of restrictions brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.
This event has been made possible with the support of Target at Walter’s Crossing location. Target will be providing art materials for this event to round out Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
